It's Just lunch has completely changed my life . My girlfriend told me to go on it since I don't like going to the bars and hate the pickup scene. I have been married before for 20 years and I knew I was really picky.

The staff at It's Just Lunch Vancouver made me feel really comfortable and they were so nice. I have never joined an agency before so I was a bit nervous but once I got there I was okay . For the first few months, I went on quite a few dates . . . The men were nice and professional, but I just felt it was not the right one until I met the man of my dreams.

We took it really slow and went on a few dates together. We had so much in common and had an amazing connection. We discovered we went to the same high school only two years apart, went to the same university and live only a few blocks away from each other.? It was weird we never crossed paths, but I do remember him in high school .

After our first kiss, we knew that we had found our soul mate. Now, it has been 5 years and we are very happily married. I never believed in soul mates before, but now I do. We are very much in love and have an amazing life together.

My advice for people that want to join It's Just Lunch is that it's the best thing that ever happened to me. I have never been so happy. Don't give up in finding someone right for you and its good to be picky. The girlfriend that told me about It's Just Lunch was also a member and she has been dating a man she met at (there) for 2 1/2 years. My dream came true and so can yours!

SATURDAY, March 24 (HealthDay News) -- An innovative approach using patients' own bone marrow cells to treat chronic heart failure came up short in terms of effectiveness, researchers report.

Use of stem cell therapy to repair the slow, steady damage done to heart muscle and improve heart function is safe, but has not been shown to improve most measures of heart function, the study authors said.

"For the measures we paid most attention to, we saw no effect, there is no question about that," said researcher Dr. Lemuel Moye, a professor of biostatistics at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston.

"Ultimately, this is going to pay off handsomely for individuals and for public health in general, but it's going to take years of work," Moye said. "We are the vanguard looking for new promising lines of research."

While the hoped-for results didn't materialize, there appeared to be a small improvement in some patients, he said. "When we looked at another commonly used measure of heart function called ejection fraction, or the strength of the heart's pumping, that's where all the action was," Moye noted.

It's hard to know which measures of heart function to look at, Moye explained. "We have had some difficulty with that," he said.

Future research will look at other measures of heart function, pay more attention to the characteristics of the cells that are injected and determine which cells are best, he added.

Cardiac cells and other types of specially prepared cells are available now that were not accessible when this study started in 2009, Moye pointed out.

The results of the trial, which was sponsored by the U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, were to be presented Saturday at the American College of Cardiology's annual meeting in Chicago. The report was also published online March 24 in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

For the study, Moye and colleagues worked with 92 patients, average age 63 and mostly male, who had heart failure with and without chest pain. They were randomly assigned to receive either an injection of 100 million bone marrow cells from their own bone marrow, or an inactive placebo. Patients in both groups also received aggressive medical therapy.

During the trial, the researchers looked for improvements in blood volume in the heart, oxygen use by the heart and blood flow through the heart.

After six months, the researchers said they saw no difference between the groups in these measures. Nor was any difference seen in the extent of heart damage, heart movement during contractions or overall condition.

Moye's team did find a slight improvement in the heart's ability to pump blood among patients 62 and younger. The improvement was small, only 3.1 percent, but patients in the placebo group declined 1.6 percent in this measure, they said.

It's possible that cells of younger people are more potent, and that's borne out by improvement in heart function seen in younger patients who did not get bone marrow cells, Moye said.

"We have demonstrated that the characteristics of the cells are correlated with heart function, so that the better the cells, the better the response -- so even in patients who did not get stem cells, those younger patients did better," he said.

Commenting on the study, Dr. Gregg Fonarow, director of the Ahmanson-University of California, Los Angeles, Cardiomyopathy Center, said there has been "tremendous interest in cell-based therapies" to treat acute and chronic heart disease and chronic heart failure.

Most studies trying delivery of different types of cells have been small and not adequately powered to demonstrate improvement in cardiac function or clinical outcomes, and results have been mixed, Fonarow said.

"While this study failed to meet any of its primary or secondary endpoints, the insights provided will be helpful in designing future trials," Fonarow added. "However, whether cell-based therapies will be of therapeutic value to patients with heart disease and heart failure remains to be seen."

Chipper Jones? final season isn?t getting off to the most promising start.

According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Jones will undergo arthroscopic surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Interestingly, Bowman hears that the 39-year-old third baseman suffered the injury running in the outfield Thursday just before he announced his intention to retire following the 2012 season.

Jones had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee last year and only missed around three weeks, so the hope is that he?ll be ready for the home opener against the Brewers on April 13.

Martin Prado is likely to fill in at third base during his absence while Eric Hinske and Matt Diaz figure to share playing time in left field.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) - A passing piece of potentially dangerous space debris forced astronauts at the International Space Station to temporarily seek refuge in escape ships early on Saturday, U.S. officials said.

The debris, a fragment from an old Russian satellite named Cosmos 2251 that smashed into an Iridium Communications spacecraft in 2009, passed harmlessly by the $100 billion orbital outpost at 2:38 a.m. EDT (0638 GMT), NASA said.

With enough advance notice, NASA will maneuver the space station, which orbits about 240 miles above the planet, to put more space between it and passing debris. The other option is for the station's six crew members to shelter inside the two Soyuz capsules berthed at the station in case the outpost is struck and depressurizes.

"This was a very erratic piece of Cosmos 2251 debris and tracking it was very difficult," NASA spokesman Michael Curie wrote in an email to Reuters.

"Its size and exact distance are unknown, and the crew sheltered in place as a highly-conservative, cautionary measure. The predicted miss distance prior to its passing was 11 to 14 kilometers (6.8 to 8.7 miles) in overall miss distance. But again, we do not know its exact distance at 2:38 am EDT, the time of closest approach," he said.

It was the third time a crew has had to shelter in Soyuz spacecraft when debris was predicted to pass close to the space station, NASA said.

More than 20,000 pieces of man-made debris larger than a softball currently orbit Earth. Space junk travels at speeds of up to 17,500 mph, so even small pieces have enough energy to cause significant damage upon impact.

NASA says the greatest risk from debris comes from untrackable objects. The February 10, 2009, collision of the Russian and Iridium satellites added more than 2,000 pieces of trackable debris to the growing list of space junk. Two years earlier, China intentionally destroyed one of its defunct weather satellites to test a missile, generating more than 3,000 pieces of debris.

The U.S. military's Space Surveillance Network tracks objects as small as two inches in diameter in orbits close to Earth, such as where the space station flies, and about one yard (.9 meter) in orbit in higher orbits.

Now that the basics are out of the way, here are 5 more practices to not only get noticed, but convert prospects to revenue.

1. Samples & Evaluations

Locate outlets for articles you can write to provide help and advice while stealthily promoting the eBook. You can use article directories like Ezine Articles or Articles Base, but you can also search Technorati for related blog sites online to your topic that have tons of traffic and accept submitted material from writers. Your submissions may contain text hyperlinks or an author?s box that links to your eBook landing page (s).

You have a couple of techniques here:

Submit articles that are free segments from the eBook. Never give away the entire book, but a great chapter that offers value and teases the reader for more.
Write a review about your book using an author alias, so it isn?t you reviewing your own work in the view of the online world. You can find 3rd party reviewers for your book by Google searching or visiting gig-oriented sites like Fiverr.com.

2. Purchase Traffic Directly

Using Google Adwords or any other online ad forum, advertise your eBook within your permitted daily budget to guide people to your sales page. Facebook Ads, for instance, can be very targeted based upon attributes of the members in their data source, segmented by age, location, language and interests. Now your ad is only served up to those who match the criteria, enhancing the chances that any visitors are really interested in your eBook and not simply money-wasting tire kickers.

3. Joint Venture Relationships

If you don?t already have a large subscriber list, it will take a while before you have any scale to make any headway with email marketing. That?s all right. Take advantage of business newsletters (start with the ones you subscribe to) that complement your subject to use their already large circulation.

How?

Contact the publisher or author and provide a commission for the good will of that person or company to promote and provide an ad about your eBook. Discover how big the list is. You can rent the list as well, but may be able to get free access to it using the commission system. Don?t be pennywise; give the list operator 50-75 %. It?s a digital book! Your cost of delivery once created and online, is zero.

4. The Amazon Marketplace

Exploit the ridiculous amount of traffic that Amazon.com has of folks interested in discovering books and sign up as an author. Amazon has a thorough policy for getting your eBooks on the web and priced on their website, and for this approach you don?t even have to handle the ecommerce. They do. As an Amazon.com partner, you can list your eBook beside any others you are interested in on your website and earn commissions when your eBook is clicked through and purchased.

5. Affiliate Promotion

Just like the JV illustration above, offer your book with similar commissions to partners who can sell it on their own web pages. Google search ?affiliate marketplaces? or simply go to Clickbank, the biggest affiliate marketplace for digitally downloadable items, and follow their set-up process to get your eBook listed and accessible for internet marketers, most of whom you will never meet. Make the sales commissions appealing to get affiliates that will get results. To use this process like a pro, you ?ll want to make several static and/or dynamic banner ads in typical sizes that your affiliate prospects can retrieve and use on their websites to market your eBook.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - If you're waiting for the next meltdown in U.S. stocks or in commodities, you may want to get over it.

After several false dawns following the global financial crisis, more investors are starting to believe the current rally in stocks, commodities and emerging markets could be a long-lasting one.

The S&P 500 closed above 1,400 points last week for the first time since the 2008 financial crisis. Investors piled into U.S. equity funds, with the biggest weekly inflows since mid-September.

"Is this risk rally for real? I think the answer to that question is yes, but it's not a straight line up," said Art Steinmetz, chief investment officer at Oppenheimer Funds in New York, managing more than $177 billion in assets.

Oppenheimer is currently betting on stocks tied to upswings in the economy, and is also overweight in riskier bond classes, he said.

Since its recent bottom in early October, the S&P index has jumped 30 percent. But for the first time since 2007, investors are not using the gains as an opportunity to take profits and run away. Instead, the rally has been slow and steady, and investors see the sustained improvement in the U.S. economy as a sign that demand has returned and that risky assets can support higher valuations.

"The prospects for future returns in equities relative to bonds are as good as they have been in a generation," Goldman Sachs in a note Wednesday said.

Dean Junkans, chief investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors and Wells Fargo Private Bank, said individual investors have started wading back into higher-risk, higher-yield assets, including high-yield and emerging market funds.

"For the last five years, few people wanted to talk about a long-term plan," said Junkans, who oversees $1.3 trillion in assets. Instead, investors had preferred the safety of low-yielding Treasury bills and money market funds.

"Now I'd say they are dipping their toes back into the market," he said, citing demand for high-dividend-yield stocks, high-yield corporate debt, and emerging market fixed income.

HOW RISKY ASSETS HAVE PERFORMED

Last year was one for the risk-averse: U.S. government bonds were the best-performing asset class. This year has been the reverse.

The S&P is already up 11 percent in 2012. The Thomson Reuters-Jefferies commodity index has gained 2.4 percent so far in 2012 after losing more than 8 percent last year. Long-dated U.S. Treasuries prices, meanwhile, are down 7.3 percent this year, according to Barclays Capital.

The euro, at the epicenter of the financial crisis, is also up nearly 2 percent against the dollar in 2012 after losses of 3.2 percent in 2011.

"There has been very substantial progress in the euro zone the last couple of months," said Thomas Stolper, chief currency strategist at Goldman Sachs in London. He expects the euro to hit $1.38 over the next six months and $1.45 by the end of 2012.

The euro zone's general stability is reflected in currency options as well. Implied volatility has fallen to levels not seen since before the euro zone debt crisis, in large part because heavily indebted Greece finally agreed to a bailout plan and debt restructuring and the European Central Bank offered short-term loans to the region's banks.

The high-yield debt market has risen more than 5 percent this year, according to Barclays Capital. Investors have flocked to junk bond ETFs, with the two largest junk-bond ETFs attracting nearly half of the $4.15 billion that flowed into U.S. fixed income in February.

Emerging markets have also become more popular: The Vanguard MSCI Emerging Markets ETF pulled in $2.5 billion while the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index Fund hauled $1.5 billion, according to IndexUniverse.com, which tracks ETF performance.

FINDING COMFORT IN RISK

The U.S. stock market is a favorite of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. The fund, which is based in Edinburgh and manages about $220 billion, has made U.S. stocks the biggest overweight sector in its portfolio.

"The recovery in the U.S. has been more robust than expected, and the rally in the U.S. is probably more durable," said William Low, head of global equities at Scottish Widows. The firm has exposure to U.S. industrials, information technology, and the consumer discretionary sector.

A key measure of risk suggests more investors are becoming comfortable with equities as the rally has continued. The implied equity risk premium, which compares the market's earnings yield - a ratio of earnings to share price - to the yield on risk-free government debt, is what investors are willing to pay to invest in stocks instead of bonds.

When it rises, it suggests investors want to be paid more to take on the risk of owning stocks. When it falls, it suggests more comfort with equities.

Over the last 10 years, risk premiums in both the United States and Europe have been rising. Premiums peaked in August 2011 and have since been declining, an indication that investors are more positive on the outlook for stocks.

The implied risk premium currently suggests another 10 to 15 percent in gains in the U.S. stock index this year, and for European equities, a further 6-8 percent rise.

SKEPTICISM STILL OUT THERE

It is easy to be skeptical about this year's gains. Risky assets have gone through a series of rallies that were undermined by worries, ranging from the euro zone's debt crisis to the Japanese earthquake and sluggish performance from banks.

In Europe, while Greece has negotiated a bailout program and a debt restructuring agreement, investors question whether it will be the end of the region's troubles. Other indebted nations like Spain and Portugal loom as problems for Europe's banks.

Saber-rattling between Iran and Israel has boosted crude prices. Rising gasoline costs could pinch consumer budgets, and a greater conflict would add uncertainty to markets.

In addition, recent data has rekindled fears that the euro zone could fall back into recession. And signs of slowing growth in China could carry risks around the world, particularly commodities-rich countries from Latin America to Australia that have found a rich market in China for their goods.

This year's strong rally has led some, like London-based hedge fund GLC, to reduce their exposure to risk after profiting from stock-market gains and successful bets against bonds.

Nonetheless, Steven Bell, director and portfolio manager for GLC, which has about $1 billion in assets under management, does not see a bear market coming. "We're still on a positive track and in a bullish trend," he said.

Other funds are taking advantage of low volatility to increase hedges against calamitous events. The CBOE Market Volatility Index, or VIX, Wall Street's favored anxiety gauge, last week hit its lowest close since mid-2007, suggesting benign market conditions will continue.

But later-dated volatility futures contracts show increased concern that the market is starting to become complacent. Similarly, currency market investors are also hedging against unforeseen outcomes. The concern is that the euphoria will leave investors exposed to sudden, sharp declines.

Still, the market's worries are less intense when compared with 2008, when Lehman Brothers collapsed, or the euro zone crisis that dominated 2011.

"Markets love a grizzly story," said Simon Smollett, senior currency options strategist at Credit Agricole in London. "But there is no grizzly story. The bears have left the room."

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) ? Chris Carpenter has nerve irritation that has caused weakness in his pitching shoulder and the St. Louis Cardinals' ace will be sidelined indefinitely.

The Cardinals made the announcement Friday, after Carpenter was evaluated in St. Louis this week. The team says there is no new nerve injury and the cervical disc injury that occurred earlier in spring training is a "non-issue."

The 2005 NL Cy Young Award winner is expected back in camp by Monday, but there is no timetable for his return to the mound.

Carpenter, who turns 37 next month, pitched the Cardinals to World Series championships in 2006 and 2011. The right-hander was 11-9 with a 3.45 ERA last year, leading the NL in innings (237 1-3) and starts (34). He threw 36 more innings in the postseason, going 4-0 with a 3.25 ERA in six starts.

Carpenter previously had nerve issues in the shoulder in 2004 when he missed the postseason, and in 2008.

He had been scheduled to pitch on opening day, a spot that will be taken by Kyle Lohse.

Earl Sweatshirt may not have been around for the ascent of Odd Future, but the once-exiled MC is now back in the OFWGKTA fold, and judging from his playful demeanor on Wednesday's (March 21) "RapFix Live," it doesn't seem as if he's missed a beat.

"It's been pretty crazy, watching them do them," Earl said about his hiatus from the OF crew while holding four different microphones.

While the group was busy breaking through, performing on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and winning Video Music Awards, Earl was attending the Coral Reef Academy in Samoa. Though his 2010 free Internet album Earl helped lay the groundwork for the crew's future success, the OF wunderkind was left on the outside looking in. There was even a "Free Earl" campaign that fans championed in the MC's absence.

"It was difficult processing through all of it 'cause it was a lot goin' on with it," he told "RapFix Live."

Though Earl returned home at the top of February, there was concern that he wouldn't be able to make an appearance on The OF Tape, Vol. 2, the album that the crew just released on Tuesday. He was, however, able to make a last-minute contribution to the album's closer, "Oldie." On the 10-minute posse cut, which features all members of the crew, Earl starts his verse spitting, "Look the contrast is a pair of lips/ Swallowing syrup and setting fire to sheriffs' whips."

In an off-the-cuff music video for the track, Earl is seen goofing off with the rest of the group, just in case there was any concern about how he would fit in. "Feels like home," he said on the set of "RapFix Live," where OFWGKTA laughed uncontrollably for almost an hour.

As far as what's next for Earl Sweatshirt: "I'ma do something hot," he said sarcastically.

Mark your calendars, Canadian fans. The UFC announced today they will visit the home and native land of welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre three times in the remainder of 2012.

They will start in Calgary on July 21, where Jose Aldo will fight a yet-to-be-named fighter. After that, it's UFC 152 in Toronto Sept. 22, and UFC 154 in Montreal Nov. 17. St. Pierre, who was present at the press conference, announced the Montreal date.

GSP also gave an update on his health, saying he is progressing smoothly and is hoping to be back by November.

"When you get an injury like I have and you're off for a long period of time, the only thing you wish is to get back fast as possible," he said. "I don't know if it will be in the U.S. or Canada, but I wish and I pray that I have a chance to perform in 2012. No matter where it will be, I want to come back and fight in 2012."

St. Pierre is a native of Montreal, and has enjoyed great success when fighting in front of the rabid home crowd Canada can provide. His last two fights were won in Canada, and he exacted revenge on Matt Serra, one of the few men to beat him, in Montreal.

Though he isn't likely to rush his recovery from an ACL tear, he also has plenty of motivation to be ready to go on Nov. 17.
